A password box comes up next. You will need to put in the user name of a user who has administrator rights (normally Admin with no password).

Another chance to backup if you have forgotten to do so. The data upgrade wizard will appear. You will notice 2 tabs at the top, Settings and Advanced. Under settings make sure that there is a tick in each box thereby selecting all the companies to be upgraded. The advanced tab should not need to be changed at all.

Click Upgrade to start the data upgrade

This process could take up to about 10 minutes to finish. For each company which is upgraded a black DOS window will appear. When you see "press any key to continue", press a key and then close the window with the X in the top right-hand corner.

Once all the companies have been upgraded a window will appear saying that the upgrade is complete. Click the OK button to continue.

A window appears asking if you would like to restore your default/original settings. Click the yes button.

Ensure that all 3 boxes are ticked and click reset When asked if you are sure click on yes. If you are asked if you wish to add some information to the registry just click yes as well.
